Your Event. Your Story. Your Flavours. Curating Amazing Experiences!

At We The Chefs, at any given point of time, our teams are at work on two or three parties daily, which we are asked to curate by clients who could be new or expectant parents planning a baby shower, or children hosting a milestone party for their parents, or corporate preparing to pamper their board of directors or special clients.

The occasions are numerous and the venues range from the We The Chefs Experiential Centres in Gurgaon and Yelahanka, Bengaluru, or a farmhouse hired by us for the occasion, or at the client’s home or private office. Each occasion, each venue requires a different kind of organisation skills, a different approach to curation. Drawing on our rich and varied experience, We The Chefs Founder-CEO Vishal Sinha has put together a ten-point guide on how to go about hosting a truly memorable party.

We all want to throw parties and most of us wish to be remembered for hosting the best parties possible. Be it a milestone celebration or ‘just a party’, all of us want to see to it that our guests have a good time and recall the event for years to come. We also want to be able to brag about our parties to our friends and family and talk about the effort that went into each one of them.

Organising an event, however, can be a daunting task – especially if you are not used to it. There are so many things to think about, from setting up your house or looking for a venue, or, most importantly, to be able to have the best possible choice of cuisines, entertainment and guest list. No wonder, and I can talk about it from our experience at We The Chefs, people have a lot of concerns and fears when it comes to planning a party.

Based on my experience of curating events for the last two years, I am discussing the top 10 concerns and fears people have in organising an event and how we help them overcome them. I also talk about the aspiration of the host to curate the best party and the bragging rights that come with it.

1. Budget

One of the biggest concerns people have when organising an event is the budget. How much is it going to cost? How can I stay within my budget? It is important to set a budget early on and stick to it. This will help you narrow down your options and make sure you do not overspend.

2. Venue

Party Venue in Gurgaon
If your own home is not an option, then the venue is another important consideration. Where are you going to hold the event? How many people can it accommodate? Does it provide the right atmosphere for your event? It is important to find a venue that meets your needs and budget. Most importantly does it allow you to give a personalised touch or is it a cookie-cutter setup.

3. Catering

Food is always a big part of any event. What are you going to serve? How much is it going to cost? It is important to find a caterer you trust and who can provide you with the food that is not only delicious but also of good quality and fresh. Can we ensure the authenticity of the dishes and will it fit our budget?

4. Entertainment

What kind of entertainment are you going to have at your event? Music? Dancing? Games? Sip and Paint? It is important to choose the right kind of entertainment that will appeal to your guests and fit into the overall theme of your event. At We The Chefs, our entertainment partners include stand-up comedians, sip-and-paint specialists, popular local bands and even solo singers.

5. Guest List

Who are you going to invite to your event? How many people are you going to invite? It is important to create a guest list that includes all of the people you want to celebrate with. And you would also not like to cause any heartburn by missing out on people who consider you to be special.

6. Invitations

Once you have your guest list, you need to send out invitations. When should you start sending them out? What should they say? It is important to send out invitations at least seven to ten days in advance so that your guests have enough time to RSVP.

7. Decorations

Decor at We The Chefs
What kind of decorations are you going to have at your event? Flowers? Balloons? It is important to choose decorations that will create the right atmosphere for your event – from appropriate flower arrangements to fairy lights, from the right kind of chairs and the appropriate runners for the tables. The idea is to make your party look different.

8. Staffing

If you’re having a large event, you may need to hire staff to help with serving food and drinks, and cleaning up after the party is over. It is important to find staff whom you can trust and who will be able to handle the job. Your house staff may not be right for the occasion.

9. Logistics

There are plenty of logistical issues that come up when you are planning an event. You need to think about matters such as parking, transportation and security. It is important to make sure all of the logistics are taken care of so that your event runs smoothly.

10. Unexpected Problems

No matter how well you plan, there’s always a chance that something unexpected will happen. It’s important to be prepared for anything and to have a backup plan in place.

How to overcome these concerns and fears

The best way to overcome your concerns and fears about organising an event is to seek help from a professional curator. That is where we come in. We do not have a cookie-cutter approach and ensure that we take into account YOU and what and how you would like to host the party.

We spend time understanding your needs and then plan your party as per your needs. We can help you with every aspect of your event, from the setup and menu to the catering and entertainment. We also have an aggregator model for home chefs who specialise in specific cuisines, so you can be sure that your guests will be served delicious food. Apart from the food, our choice of simple and elegant flower decorations is always something people talk about.

We understand that organising an event can be a stressful experience. That is precisely why we are here to help. We will take care of all the details, so you can relax and enjoy your event as a guest and not the host.

For your event, we become the official hosts so that you can enjoy your own party as a guest … stress free and, most importantly, not worried about the day after, as we ensure that if the party is in your house we leave everything as we found it.
Hosting parties has never been so easy …. so call us and we will help you create an event that your guests will talk about for months to come. And of course, we will make sure you have plenty of bragging rights.
